Poet, James Lynne Alexander was born October 23, 1801, in County Antrim, Ireland. He died August 22, 1879, in Grimsby, Ontario. He is buried in St. Andrew’s Anglican Church graveyard in Grimsby, Ontario.
James Lynne Alexander’s Book of Verse “A Day at the Falls of Niagara” has the distinction of being one of the first books of poetry published in Upper Canada, in 1825.
