I know very little about Canadian poet, Linda Pyke. I don’t know when or where she was born or when she died. I do know that she was confined to a wheelchair for most of her 31 years. And I know she died after falling out of her wheelchair at York University and striking her head on the pavement, having made the decision to go back to school after her mother died the previous year.
I also know her one and only poetry book (Prisoner) is a fantastic read.
Linda Pyke is buried alongside her parents in Park Lawn Cemetery in Toronto, Ontario.
