Located on Nebo Road in what is now part of Hamilton, Ontario, George Washington Johnson left Margaretís family home to go for a walk in early 1864. By the time he returned to his ailing fianceeís bedside he had started writing ďWhen You and I were young, Maggie.Ē Unfortunately, Margaret succumbed to tuberculosis in 1865 and is buried not far from her parents home or the church her and George married in seven months prior to her death.
