About the item: Small, single sheet of paper, written on both sides. Dated 1862, with the letterhead having been crossed out and replaced with what we believe to be poet's home address. Signed by poet at the end of the letter. We believe letter was addressed to a "James Cadbury, Esq." Unable to verify whether or not the original bearer of this letter is in any way related to those who make those delicious mini eggs every easter. A very unpoetic letter from one of England's finer 19th century poets. Letter is in very good condition. Additional photos available upon request. |
