Poet, Katherine Hale, born Amelia Beers Warnock, was born August 12 1874, in Waterloo, Ontario. She died September 7, 1956 and is buried in the Warnock family plot in Mountview Cemetery in Cambridge, Ontario.
She married writer, editor, publisher, John W. Garvin in 1912 and became Amelia Beers Garvin.
