Best remembered as the biographer and long time friend and admirer of Canadian poet, Sir Charles G. D. Roberts, Elsie May Pomeroy was born November 30, 1886, in Fullarton, Ontario. She died in Newmarket, Ontario, in 1968, and returned home to Fullarton to be buried alongside her family in the Fullarton Cemetery.
