Correction: Poet, Violet Alice Clarke, was born April 8, 1880, in Guelph, Ontario. She died in 1965, and is buried next to her sister and parents in Woodlawn Memorial Park in Guelph Ontario.
Her only book of poetry, The Vision of Democracy and other poems, was published by the Ryerson Press in 1919
All evidence (her book of poems)points to the above as the poet in question.

Poet, Violet (Alice) Clarke was most likely born in Brussels, Ontario, in 1876 and died May 21, 1924, in Toronto, Ontario. Her only book of poetry, The Vision of Democracy and other poems, was published by the Ryerson Press in 1919. Her grave may be unmarked in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto, Ontario.
