Poet, Anne Sutherland Brooks, was born July 24, 1900, in Guelph, Ontario. She died January 8, 1996, in Grimsby, Ontario. She is buried alongside her husband and his family in St. Andrew’s Anglican Churchyard, in Grimsby, Ontario.
Anne Sutherland Brooks’s grave is not far from James Lynne Alexander’s. His book of Verse “A Day at the Falls of Niagara” has the distinction of being one of the first books of poetry published in Upper Canada, in 1825.
