Poet, Alexander Hamilton Wingfield was born August 1, 1828, in Blantyre, Scotland. He died August 8, 1896, in Hamilton, Ontario, age 68. He is buried in the Hamilton Cemetery. His only book “Poems and Songs, in Scotch and English” was published in Hamilton in 1873.
